Dr. Wassmer is a board-certified endodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, dedicated to delivering compassionate and high-quality care tailored to each patient.

A California native, Dr. Wassmer was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Music Industry from the University of Southern California before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, where he graduated with honors.

Following dental school, Dr. Wassmer commissioned as a United States Naval Officer, caring for Marines and Sailors aboard warships and in austere environments around the world. His exceptional service earned him the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and special recognition from the U.S. Surgeon General. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for Endodontics—helping patients get out of pain and back in the fight. This led him to pursue advanced specialty training in Endodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland, where he also earned a Masters in Oral Biology. With a strong commitment to excellence, he has trained and lectured for local dental societies, sharing his expertise with colleagues across the country.

Dr. Wassmer is thrilled to return home to California with his wife and daughters to lay down roots and serve the Monterey County community.

Dr. Wassmer is fluent in Spanish and an active member of the American Association of Endodontists.
