Your visit in our office will begin with a consultation and examination. At that time, we will check the area in question, take diagnostic x-rays, and decide whether root canal therapy is needed, then fully review treatment options with you.
If root canal therapy is indicated, a local anesthetic is placed. We will remove the nerve and bacteria from your tooth, clean the infection and seal the roots of the tooth. You should have little or no discomfort during this procedure. Most patients return to their normal daily routine after treatment. Once your treatment is completed you may need to return to your general dentist within one month for a final restoration. A comprehensive treatment report will be sent to your general dentist's office.
